As the lockdown restrictions continue to lift, the team at Yorkshire Neuro Physiotherapy is delighted to announce that we are re-opening our doors and introducing a staged return to face to face appointments for assessment and treatment, both in clinic and out in the community, as appropriate.
We have been working very hard behind the scenes over the past few weeks and have implemented a number of new measures and procedures, designed specifically with the safety of our clients and our team in mind. So, you can rest assured that we are doing everything within our control to look after your health and wellbeing and minimise the risk of coronavirus infection transmission.
Some of the new measures you can expect include:
- New health screening questions that will be asked at the time of booking a face to face appointment and again upon attendance
- Recording your temperature (contactless) upon arrival at each face to face appointment
- Ensuring good hand hygiene before and after your appointment
- Staggering our appointments throughout the day to avoid any overlap of clients or the need for you to wait on the premises
- Your Physio will be wearing appropriate PPE which will include a face mask, gloves, apron, and protective eye/face wear
- Stringent cleaning protocols in between each appointment to ensure the clinic space and any touched surfaces are appropriately disinfected
For any clinic-based sessions, when you arrive at your appointment, please expect to wait outside the building until your Physio comes to collect you. Please do not arrive too early as you will not currently be allowed to wait inside. This is to avoid any overlap of clients and to minimise the number of people within the clinic at any one time.
Please wear/bring a face mask/covering to each appointment as this will be required. We would also appreciate it if payments could be made by card (contactless wherever possible) or using online methods, as we would like to minimise cash transactions.
We would encourage you to attend your appointment alone wherever possible. However, if you do need to bring a carer/chaperone/translator, please make us aware of this at the point of booking your appointment, so that the appropriate additional measures can be discussed with you. Please note that ALL attending persons will be required to provide accurate contact details (for contact tracing purposes only) and to adhere to the same procedures/protocols that are in place for our clients.
We are also beginning to introduce domiciliary appointments as appropriate, so have further new measures in place, specific to this area. Please ask at the time of booking if you have any queries or concerns about us coming out to see you at home, but we are confident that our new processes will suitably safeguard both you and your Physio.
Due to the popularity of our virtual (video) appointments during the lockdown period, we will continue to offer this remote option (Neuro Telehealth) for those of you who are not yet ready to come back to face to face appointments. This option will be discussed with you at the point of booking as an alternative to a face to face session.
